I’m a lifelong Texan, raised in Houston, and educated in San Antonio at Trinity University. After marrying my wife Christine, a public school teacher, we moved to Pearland in search of a vibrant and diverse community where we could set down roots and raise our family. We’re proud our one-year-old son, Jude, is able to grow up in such an engaged community with friends from every possible background and a school system that’s preparing him for the world.

I’ve spent my adult life working to help support our most vulnerable fellow citizens as both a small business owner and a volunteer. Working in home health care for those with independence and mobility problems, I know firsthand that not every family is as fortunate as mine. I’ve seen how our medical system can give incredible care to those who desperately need it, but only if they have thousands of dollars to pay every month. Meanwhile, Governor Abbott and the Austin majority have refused to expand Medicaid, harming families in our community and sending our tax dollars to other states.

From their policies on healthcare, education, and criminal justice reform to their response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Austin majority has failed to put the needs of hard-working Texans first. I’m running for State Representative in District 29 to bring your voice to the capitol and to fight for our community, instead of playing political games. It’s time to focus on helping our community, not lobbyists and big corporations.
